Reference to postponements was made at last evening's meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union. The chairman (Mr. J. Permission was given to play the following office matches:—Land and Income Tax Department v. State Advances, to-day; National Provident Fund v. Census and Statistics Office, Kelbnrn. Park, 21st May. Approval, was also given to the playing of the annual match between , St. John's Hostel and St. John's Bible Class, 3rd June.
In reply to a letter' from the union, Mr. P. Martin Smith, wrote stating that, he had arranged with St. Patrick's College to play a secondary schools' game at 11.45 a.m. on 3rd June, as a curtain-raiser to the match between the British team and the Wellington representatives at Athletic Park. :■■..■
The secretary of the Old Boys' Club notified that it had decided to withdraw its junior B team from the competition, owing to the fact that it was unable to place a full team on the field each week.
