ESPERANTO CLUB.

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place last night.in the V.M.C.A., Mr. E. C. Jack presiding over a large attendance of members. Tuition classes occupied the first portion of the evening, after which a programme of interesting items was presented. Miss Coralie Smythson gave an amusing talk m Esperanto on "Kiel mi iiksis la lvadion.' This was followed by a recitation in the international language by Mr. W. H. King —"Nova Kanto." Mr. A. H. Gregory, an Esperantist from Dargaville, gave a brief resume of the grammatical construction of Esperanto and described how he had become acquainted with the movement. The secretary, Mr. Bertram Potts, gave an address in Esperanto on "The Life of Victor Hugo." The concluding item, "Mi Mem," was presented by the treasurer, Mr. L. E. Dust.
