WIRELESS PROPOSAL
ENTERPRISING SUITOR
LONDON, 7th May.
A London girl artist has received a proposal of marriage by wireless from Australia. She rejected an offer two years ago when site declined a suitor who returned to Australia to take up an appointment in a Sydney financial corporation. She did not hear of him again until this morning when his name cropped up in a conversation' with a friend, who said jokingly: "I know he still loves you. He will be ringing you up to propose to you now there is a telephone to Australia." The girl returned to the studio, whore the telephone rang, and tho exchange apprised her of an Australian call. It proved to foe her old suitor, who took the second refusal philosophically, saying: "You are probably the only girl who lias received, a Ijproposal bjr wireless,-?'
