A memorial to George Brinton, a taxidriver, lias been unveiled at St. Peter s Church, Wahvortli (London). It takes the form of an.altar rei-edos, on which is imposed the figure of St. Christopher (the patron saint of taxi-drivers) carrying the •Infant Christ. Brinton's favourite ranlc was Waterloo station, and he was on duty at night, going home at 3 o'clock in the morning. In spite of this he performed the duties, of teacher in the Snnday school niiil sidesman at St. Peter's Church lor thirty youvs. . He had previously been a chuirboy there. Brinton died two years ago, at"the age of 72.
