FALSE PRETENCES
YOUNG MAN PLEADS GUILTY

CHKISTCHUBCH, This Day.
Thirty-eight charges of false pretences, involving a sum of £.277, were preferred against William Thomas, a young man,'to-day. It is alleged that the offences were committed in Dunedin, Oalnaru, Timaru, and Christchurch. The accused pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence.
