TARANAKI RESOLUTION

(By Telegraph.—Presa Association.)

. STBATFOED, This Day. The Borough Couneillast night passed the following resolution: —

"That the Government.be asked for an assurance that it will oppose any move or effort on the part of either the Victoria University College authorities or the New Zealand University Senate i,o deprive the pebplo of Taranaki of the solo benefits arising from the Opaku Eeserve; that copies of this resolution be forwarded through Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P., to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, and also that copies be sent to.all other local bodies and members of Parliament in Taranaki, and their support bo sought thereto.
