MEETING OF UNEMPLOYED

A meeting of unemployed was held at 229 a, Cuba street to-day. The Unemployed Committee was brought up to its former strength, six new members being elected. The following resolution was passed: "That the committee shall at all -times realise the material interests of the unemployed and work in conjunction with the membership for the slogan: "Work at full trade union wages, or full 'maintenance —no charity." Some' discussion took place on the necessity of a national organisation of unemployed. It was decided to hold another meeting next Thursday morning.
