NO IMMEDIATE CRISIS

The belief that there will be no political crisis this session is held by Mr. K. A. Wright, tho Reform M.P. for Wellington Suburbs. Judging by expressions by tho Leader of the Labour j Party (Mr. H. E. Holland), said Mr.; Wright, the Labour Party would continue to support the reconstructed United Party. Mr. Wright said he desired ""to join with those who had expressed regret at tho necessity for Sir Joseph to relinquish office. He had known Sir Joseph since 190S, and personally they had always been good friend's. He recognised, with others, that Sir Joseph had served New Zea land well, and, according to his judgment, had always done what ho believed to bo right. It was Mr. Wright's hope that Sir Joseph would be able to take his place in the House again as representative of Inve •cargill. He had no doubt that the United Party would find it difficult to replace Sir Joseph, and the new Prime Minister would have great difficulty in following so able and respected a leader. MR. YOUNG'S VIEW. Asked his opinion of tho political outlook arising from tho new situation, Mr. J. A. Young, Bef oral member for Hamilton, said he did not think tho Prime Minister's resignation would make any difference in the relationship of the parties, which would stand the same unless the new Prime Minister was prepared to consider overtures with a view to forming a Coalition Government. [So far as tho speaker was aware, this course had not been seriously suggested.
