A Capo merchant shipowner, Jan! Bant jos, placed a fortune on trust in Holland 140 years ago, and stipulated that it be untouched for a hundred years. There arc over four hundred descendants, but essential papers for establishing proof are missing. Meanwhile, the fortuno is \estimated at twenty millions. One descendant,." Mrs. Wright, buried papers during the Boer War under a floor in a house at Johannesburg. She did the same in the> Great War.
