GUILLOTINE AT MARSEILLES FIRE BRIGADE HOSES CROWD . PAEIS, 17 th May. At Marseilles 1500 troops aud police were necessary to .control the crowd witnessing the guillotining outside the prison of a Corsiean named Griffaut, who, with confederates, attacked and killed a bank messenger, whom they robbed of £3200. The fire brigade I hosed the people from trees and roofs.
