■NEW YORK, 17th May

At Honeygrove, Texas, a further oxample of the recent outbreak of lyn'chjngs occurred, when- it mob of three thousand Texan whites seized a negro from the police, dragged him through the streets, and burned tho victim bofore drenching rain dispersed tho mob. Tho negro was suspected of assaulting a landowner, and barricaded himself in his cabin. A sheriff's posse surrounded him and endeavoured to arrest him, but some of tho mob rushed in and seized the negro.

Houoygrovo is some- 40 miles duo east of Sherman, where the previous lynching outrage took place. Both are close to tho Oklahoma border.
