TKIAL GAME AT AUCKLAND

AUCKLAND, ■ 13th May

A Rugby League trial game between Auckland and Northland 'representatives; played at Carlaw Turk on Saturday as a preliminary to the selection of a NewZealand team to tour Australia this season, was won by Auckland by 21 points to 16. The ground conditions were not good, and showers during the play made ball control difficult; consequently the standard of play was not high. Tor Auckland tries were scored by Clarke, Wetherill, Francis, Carter, and Brady. Seagar and Campbell converted one try each, Seagar also kicking a penalty goal. Hamilton, Wells, Dunn, and E. Meyer scored for Northland, Meyer.converting two. ,
