,In its final preparation for the match .with the. British Kugby team, the Wanganui representative team was to have had tho'services of M. F. Nieholls. This player, however, will not now be able to go to Wanganui to give the team the .benefit of his knowledge and advice. Another well-known: player, C. G. Porter, was also invited to- go to Tarahaki to assist the representative players there in their training-opera-tions in view of the- British match, but he, too, has been compelled to decline the invitation. .It is understood that the two Wellington players have been advised against going away to assist in. coaching teams.
