PLANT ON HORORATA

CHRISTCHUBCH, This Day.

The New Zealand Shipping. Company's liner Hororata, which arrived at Lyttolton from London via Suva, is equipped with a pulverised coal-burning plant.

Mr. D. Dunn, an engineer connected with the firm which installed the plant, made tho trip to New Zealand to supervise tlio working pi tho ' plant. He stud that although the plant was beyond the experimental stage, they were still making trials with the object of improving it. From experience on the present voyage, minor mechanical alterations would be made in future plants, but tho one installed on- the Hororata was giving satisfaction.
