WELLINGTON AGAINST NELSON

WANGANUI, lCth May,

Dr. Adams, in welcoming the British t'am at Wanganui to-day, referred to his announcement at Wellington yesterday that the first game of Bugby in New Zealand was played at Auckland. This comment had excited interest,-and he had been informed since that the game was first played in Wellington on 12th September, 1870. Mr. Munro, of Palmerston North, captained tho Wellington side, and Mr. K. Tennant the Nelson side.
