V.M.C.A. BOYS
During: the': earlypart of the week a party of twenty boys from the Masterton V.M.C.A., under the direction of Mr. A. E. Bate, ■ .general secretary, paid a visit to the Wellington Association. The purpose of the visit was to deepen and strengthen the bond of ■ friendship between the members, and at the same time engage ,ip. friendly contests at various indoor and outdoor -games. Although the Wellington teams won the gasater number of games, each was very keenly contested and resulted in a very close finish. On Tuesday evening, the Masterton. boys were the guests of the Wellington Association at tea, Mr. George Day welcoming them, and pointing out the value of such visits. On Wednesday the visitors' were taken out in cars for a sightseeing tour around the bays. The boys, who had been billetted by friends of the V.M.C.A., left for Masterton by train on Wednesday.
