PROSPECTS BRIGHTER.
"Prospects favour wool becoming dearer, and the price can rise moderately, and still proyide raw material at workable prices." This statement is made in the annual report of Winehcombe, Carson, Ltd., Sydney. The world which produced 8,479.000 bales in 1922 and 9,005,000.ba1es in 1924 has lately grou«n over 11,000,000 bales. Over that period the Australian' clip has increased about 850,000 bales (40 per cent.), and the South African clip 31,000 bales (50 per cent.). When economic facts are recognised, and producing expenses reduced, the report concludes, wool-growing in Australia and New Zealand will again prove profitable.
