THE MEAT BOARD
ELECTION IN AUGUST
An election of two producers' representatives on the Now Zealand Meat Producers' Board will take plaao in Wellington on 28th August, when an electoral committee of 25 delegates will meet to consider the board's annual report and balance-sheet. The retiring members are Messrs. T. A. Duncan, of Hunterville, and Adam Hamilton, of Invercargill. Botli offer thomsolvos for re-election. * The regulations under which tho election is conducted' provide that the ten electoral districts of tho Dominion shall elect the 25 delegates constituting the electoral committee. Two delegates aro to bo elected for the Wairarapa district, which comprises tho Wairarapa sheep district, together with, the counties of Horowhenua, Hutt, and Makara, and three delegates are to bo elected for the West Coast district, which comprises that sheop district oxclusivo of tho above counties. Delegates.must be nominated by two sheop farmers owning not less than. 100 sheep, unit no candidate for'election.-to the board is olig* ible for nomination as, a delegate to the electoral committee. The list, of persons entitled to vote for delegates is based on the official return' of sheep owners possessing 100 or more sheep.
