SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
Tuesday's bi-weekly concert at the Sailors' Friend Society was provided by Mr. C. G-. Chambers," who with his helpers received loud and long applause and encores. The performers were Mesdaines Shields and Henderson, Misses Bleir, Whittaker, Harris, O'Connor, and Messrs. Shields, Chambers, Claude Saunders, Lovett, Smith. Miss Whittaker and Mr. .C. Saunders were at the piano. The wants o£ the men .were attended to by the helpers, led by the host. Mr. J. Moore, Missiouer, spoke on "Signs" in relation to temperance and pledges, were added to the books. Fine work was done in the competitions. -The prizes came from Sirs. J. Burnett.
