SOUTHLAND WINTER SHOW
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.). INVEKCAKGILL, 13th May. The Southland A. and P. Association's Winter Show opened to-day, the display being classed as the finest ever staged iv Southland. The general quality of the- exhibits of produce is perhaps of a higher standard than that of shows, of recent years, and the display is fully worthy of the province's great records for productivity. .
In view of the outstanding successes of Southland factories at London dairy shows considerable interest was shown in the butter and cheese classes, the quality of winning exhibits being very high. The most successful competitor was the Awarua factory, which secured the championship for most points, winning in three classes and gaining second place in two and third in the South Island championship class, which was won, by the Fairfax factory.
