Taranaki Oil Fields (N.L.)'announces that Mr. Colin Eraser, managing director, left Melbourne yesterday for New- Zealand, where he will confer with-the company's technical staff upon the field situation. The report adds that the recent culmination . ot" lengthy geological investigations of certain areas has thrown new light upon them, and increased/attractiveness, and have warranted the directors deferring selection of a drilling site pending investigation of the.■comparative merits of the areas concerned.', . ■
During Mr.* Eraser's stay in: the Dominion the whole of the relevant geological data will be reviewed, and a scheme of field activity formulated, based upon the latest geological studies and conclusions derived therefrom. The board will as early as practicable announce the drilling programme. '
