THREE MONTHS FOR BEGGING
"I plead guilty to being drunk, but not' to begging," said Charles Edwarfi Hills, aged 27, who was charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with being idle and disorderly, having Begged alms in Tory street. .
Constable Smith said that he saw the accused go np to several, men* in Torystreet yesterday and ask for money.
"I have work to go to,out at Miramar," said the accused. . I can start this afternoon, if I am fined and ordered to take out a prohibition order.".
Mr. E.. Page, S.M., sentenced Hills to three months' imprisonment. "He has a substantial list of previous convictions," remarked the Magistrate.
