PEDESTRIAN KILLED
STEPPING OFF THE KERB
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 13th May. A fatal accident occurred in Khybor Pass road, to-night. ■ , A man named Arthur Reginald Sloman, a resident of Khyber Pass, was struck by a motor-car as he stepped off the. kerb to cross the- road, and was killed instantaneously. The car was driven by John Fleming, of Grafton road. Slornan was thrown heavily to the concrete, receiving head injuries and a brokca leg, and his neck also appeared to Be broken. The deceased .was 65 years "old, and leaves a widow and three children. He jvas a gardener by. occupation.
