VIEW

LONDON, 7th May.

It is ■understood that Mr. Ben Turner, the TJnder-Seeretary for Mines, will shortly retire from the Ministry, and be succeeded by Major A. T. Lee or Mr. Vernon Hartshorn, both members of the Simon Commission.

It is rumoured that' Mr. Noel Buxton, who is a member of Cabinet, and holds the portfolio of Agriculture and Fisheries, has been designated to an important colonial post, which will soon bo becoming vacant.
