United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received 9th May, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Bth May. A Queensland conversion loan of £3,781,700, was subscribed to as to conver> sion, £1,692,000,--and-cash £1,046,000. The underwriters were left with 28 per cent, of the issue.
A Queensland conversion loan of £3,781,700 at 5% per cent., issued at 97, was underwritten iv London just before Easter. The loan is redeemable in 1934-36. Holders of £3,781,700 3% per cents., maturing Ist July, 1930, were invited to exchange into the new 5Yz per cents, at £97. Cash applications were also invited. The loau yielded interest alone, £5 13s 6d per cent., and with redemption in 1934 £6 7s 3d, or redemption iv 1936 £6 2s Id per cent.
