ROAD CYCLING

OPENING OF SEASON

'The Port Nicholson Amateur Road Cycling Club (Inc.) will commence its 1030 season's programme to-morrow, when two races will be held. The junior event (riders 16 years and under) will start at 2 p.m. sharp, and the senior race of 15 miles is scheduled to commence at 2.45 p.m. . Both races will start and finish at the jmblic tepehone exchange, Featherston street, where the.club's patron (Mr. H. D. Bennett) will officially declare the season open. Lawrence, B.- Chandler, F. blackett, E. Sullivan; 5% minutes, I. Vernon, W. Doidge, J. Irion, H. D. Savidge; 5 minutes, A. Pannington, G. Orr.E. Newman, R. Ericsson, R. Jones, R. Evans; 4% minutes, J. Franklyn, C. Tasker, V. Croskery; 4 minutes, S. Wright, A. White, J. Wyeth; 3% minutes, D. Shadw'ick, F. Hoare; 2 minutes, G. Staverley, D. Evans, E. F. Bellman; scratch, W.
