Newspapers state that Mr. Vernon Hartshorn, who was Postmaster-General in tho previous Labour Government, and who is a member of the Statutory Commission on Indian Constitutional Eeform, will at the conclusion in a few weeks of tho work of this Commission join the Cabinet as Secretary of State for the Colonies. At present Lord Passficld is Secretary for the Dominions and Colonies, but it is understood the office will be divided.
