AFFAIR IN SYDNEY
MYSTERIOUS MURDER SENSATION IN SLUMS United Press Association—By Electric Telograph—Copyright. (Received 19th April, 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A shooting affray, in which members of the "underworld" arc believed to be responsible, occurred last night at Woollooinooloo. Walter Williamson, aged 35, was phot in the back and died in the hospital. Charles Bourke, aged 20, was also shot in the back, but he may recover. The police are unable to obtain any information of their assailants. Williamson, although dying, refused to make any statement. -Bourke declared that he was unaware how or by whom ho was shot. The police have ascertained that the shooting, which created a sensation in-the slums, occurred in Palmer street, although the victims denied this. They also denied that they are intimate friends, which the police assert they are. Bourke was sitting in a taxicab when he was wounded. - .
