SEA SCOUTS' REGATTA
tiea Scouts from Auckland, Lyttekon, and Kelson are combining irith -the local troops: in the annual regatta •which ia being held on the harbour1 to-day. This morning the heats for the Aoraugi Cup, for boys 17 years of age and under, nvere rowed off in smooth water. The Iron Duke Troop (Nelson), holder of tins trophy, won its heat and the semi-final, and will contest the final this. afternoon with the Collhigwood Troop (Wellington). The Wiishburn Cup,'l won last year by the Iron Duke Troop, will also be competed for this afternoon, and tho Wellington troops will race for the silver badges presented by Mr. W. H. .J. Donovan, of Petone. ; An added attraction will be the race for the Mercantile Marine Cup, presented by the shipping companies for competotion among tha cadets on overseas liners. Details of tin's morning's races are:— Aorangi Cup.—First heat: Iron Duke, 1;' Britannia, 2. Won by two and a half lengths. . Second heat: Collingwood, 1; Eastbourne, 2. Won by half a length. Semi-final: Iron Duke, 1; Petone, 2. Wou by one and a half lengths,
