FIVE PERSONS INJURED

GIG AND LORRY COLLIDE

WAIHI, This Day.

Five persons were injured when a gig in which they were driving to Waihi last evening came into collision with a cream lorry driven by John Alexander Broadfoot, of Waihi. They were Mr. R. M. Howe and Mrs. Howe, who suffered severe cuts to the ' head and shock; their son, Vernon, aged three years, whose right foot was gashed; Mrs. Edith Gollop, who had her legs badly bruised; and her brother, Mr. Thomas Gibson, aged eighteen, whose head was slightly injured.

Mr. and Mrs. Howe and tlloir son were admitted, to the Waihi Hospital. Mr. Howe has not yet regained consciousness.
