SMITH AND SHIERS'S FIRST HOP

SYDNEY, 38th March,

Camooweal advices state -that Smith and Shiers, in tho City of Sydney, have left for Newcastle Waters, and hope to roach Wyndham and take off from there on the first hop to England tomorrow. : Piper and Kayo plan to stay at Camooweal to-day and arrive- at Sydney on Monday. They reported that they had not had engine trouble, but they missed tho track at Newcastle Waters. Tho tail of the machine hit an anthill when landing at Tennants Creek, but only slight damage resulted.
