"A FAIRY WEDDING"
i On the banks of a river the other day you would have seen an elf named Uno, and a fairy named Starlight, the eve before their wedding. Fairy Starlight was a pretty fairy, with blue eyes i and fair golden locks hanging below I her shoulders. Uno was fair too; ho 1 had blue eyes and short fair curls. Next night the wedding had not been cari ried out, for all the fairies and pixies, ■ elves, and brownies., had been invited, except one fairy who was a witch. This witch asked the rain clouds to help her ! spoil the party,, which they willingly • agreed to do, for they had not been in--1 vited. The moon, who had promised 1 to give the fairies light, overheard their plans, and had warned the fairies. ', That night the rain clouds hid the moon and let go drops of rain. But the night after the fairies were having a happy time. Fairy Starlight was dressed in a shell pink rose petal dress with a dewdrog star, in her hair and silver shoes with a, silver 'wand. Uno was dressed in a roseleaf suit with a pointed roseleaf cap, and big roseleaf shoes. Of course the rain clouds were very angry and would never speak to the moon fairies again, after their scheme had been discovered. ..-'■!. "DUXX." Newtown.
