STATISTICS SHOW PROGRESS (Bcceived SSth March, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Postmaster-General's -annual report reveals that monoy and valuables to the amount of £180,618 were found in postal articles sent to the Dead Letter Office as undeliverable in the 1928----29 financial year. As many as 39,434 articles were posted without addresses. The telephone figures showed substantial progress with an average of 7.93 'phones per hundred people. Australia is now sixth .on the list of countries in the order of telephone density. A profit of £56,524 is shown on the year's transactions.
