woollen workers' wages STOPPAGE PROBABLE LONDON, 26th March. The wool employers announce their intention to post notices of reductions in accordance with Mr. H. P. Maemillan's report. Mr. Shaw, secretary of the operatives, says they will resist the, reduction, in accordance with a ballot, and this will lead to a stoppage. Mr. 11. P. Macmillan,. K.C., who, with tho assistance of the employers raid trades unions, conducted an inquiry into the northern wool textile industry, recommended a reduction in wages on the ground that the" industry was so dangerously depressed that sacrifices of wages were essential.
