GIFT TO MISS MACDONALD TKADEBS' TRIBUTE TO QUALITY LONDON, 26th March. At the opening of the iipplo season at New Zealand House, Mrs. Wilford presented Miss Ishbol Mac Donald with a basket of fruit. The latter, accepting on behalf of her father, remarked: "If they are as good as they look, then they are marvellous. To-morrow will sec a rare occurrence—the whole MacDonald family dining at Downing Street, when we will share the apples." Traders refer to the exhibition of apples as the best they have ever seen.
