MISS A. PATTBIGK'S VISIT

(Prom "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 18th February. Early this year an interesting gathering was held at Cromwell House, which is tho headquarters of Sir Truby King's work in London. Its objective was to give past and present trainees of the institution an opportunity to meet Miss A. Pattrick, who, after an absence of ten' years, was' revisiting London. -:-■-" . Miss Pattrick,. Director of Plunket Work "in New Zealand, was associated with Sir Truby King in the establishment of his work in London twelve years ago. ■ ■ ■■. ■■' The gathering was held in the large reception-room of the recently-com-pleted Princess Elizabeth of York Host el, a large new brick building which is an annexe of Cromwell House. Lady Dawson of Perm' was in the chair, and other members of the committee were Dawson, Miss Liddiard, and Dr. K. C. present. Tho speakers were Lady Jewcsbury. In her- reply, Miss Pattrick thanked the , speakers for the warm wolcome extended to her, and expressed her great pleasure at'seeing the wonderful growth and development of the work of the Mothercraft Training Society in England. She lightly touched on some of the difficulties and humorous situations connected with the establishment of the' work in London. The present students entertained the j guests with a three-act play depicting the growth and development of the work of the London society. This amusing play was written and produced by! some members of the present staff of J Cromwell House.

At the end of January Miss A. Pattrick and Miss C. L..Pattrick left.London for France. After a short holiday in Paris they went to Menton, on the French Riviera, and they. expect, to return to England towards the end of April. ' ;.' ':-;.'; '.;.-'■'.'
