SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION
The annual meeting of the Sunday School Union was held last evening, Mr. W. E. Howe (president) was in the chair, and twenty-eight delegates were present. This being the jubilee of the union, a committee was set up to bring down a report as to the best means of commemorating the jubilee. Mr. W. E. Howe was appointed representative on the children s session advisory committee oE the Kadio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand, Ltd. It was resolved to hold the benpture examination in July, and to prepare questions on the international, Australasian, and British series. A deputation was appointed to wait on the Ministers Association in regard to the Railway Department's policy of promoting Sundayexcursions. The annual • report and bal-ance-sheet, and also the extension °j-San-iser's report, were presented and ordered to be printed. It was reported that everything was going very well for the Easter Convention at Blenheim, and that a very good programme had been prepared, everything pointing to a very successful gathering. The officers for the year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. W. E. Howe; vice-presidents, Mr. A. Gibbs, the Key. Mr. Stockwell, of Blenheim; secretary, Mr. H. J. Thompson; treasurer, Mr. W. &. Holsjvorth;-visitors, Miss Oldfield and Mr. A. Johnston; auditor, Mr. R. Tait.
