LOW PRICED BUTTER

LONDON, 7th March

;• The butter market is stagnant. Danish is selling at 160s. Choicest salted New Zealand is bringing from 140s to 1425; Australian, from, 136s to 140s; unsalted New Zealand, from. 156b to 158s; and Australian, from 140s to 1425.

The cheese market is dull. New Zea> land realised from 84b to 85s, and Australian is selling at 84s.

Mr. G. A. Mills, Wellington, has received the following cabled market report from •Lqndon: "Butter: The market continues weak. N.ew Zealand, finest, 140s; New Zealand, first/ 138s; Danish,, 166s to 168s; Australia^ 134s to 1365. Cheese: The market is ■ slpWi New Zealand white, 83s to 84s; NW Zealand coloured, 83s to 845." Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co.. Ltd., have also -received a report from Messrs. Trengfouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, dated 6th March: "New Zealaud butter. 140s per ewt:. New Zealand cheese. S3s per cvrt. Both markets weak."

' Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., have received the following market advice from their head office, London, under date of 7th 3[arch:—Messrs. Samuel Page and Son report: "Butter market demoralised. Finest New.Zealand, 13Ss to 140s; Australian, 1325-- to 13fis. Cheese very depressed, Is to 2s j/er cvrb lpwer."
