RUGBY, 6th March. Tho death occurred' this morning of Viscount Gladstone, aged 76. The deceased was the youngest son of the late William Ewart Gladstone, the great Liberal Statesman, and was himself a Liberal member of the House of Commons for 30 yoars, holding several Government posts during that period. He went in 1910 as first Gov-ernor-General of tho Union of South Africa and when ho returned to England in 1914 he organised the relief >of war refugees. There is no- heir to the Viseountey.
