LEAGUE OF NATIONS UNION
The Dominion executive of the League of Nations Union met last •week. The Rev. Dr. Gibb, president, was in the chair, and there _was .a good attendance. A communication from the "Entente Internationale contre la Troisieme Internationale" was received, asking for an expression of opinion on certain documents dealing with the Soviet Government. It, was resolved that the president should write stating that this matter lay outside the province of the iinion's affairs. Following up the very satisfactory appeal to the Government Education Commission to' place teaching on international peace and the League of Nations in the curriculum of the public schools, it was resolved to seek an interview with the Minister of Education, urging him to provide literature for the information of teachers on these subjects and to approve the preparation of a test book for pupils. A committee was appointed to co-oper-ate with the local branch of the union in arranging meetings during the visit in March of Mr. E. J. Riches, a member of the staff of the International Labour Office, Geneva. Instructions were eiven to arrange for another broadcasting talk by the Rev.. Dr. Gibb. Reports from several banches were received showing considerable activity^ :
