NGAIO AFFAIRS
A meeting of. the Ngaio Progressive Association was held last evening, Mr. H. L. Cummings presiding. It was decided to offer voluntary labour to the Reserves Department o£ the City Council for planting the proposed rockery on a vacant section between the Ngaio Town Hall and Ottawa road. It was considered that a rockery such as that at Newtown Park would add greatly to the attractiveness of the locality. The Town Clerk notified that the question of improved access between Wadeßtown and Ngaio would b& considered with the .1930-31, estimates. C The Reserves Department is to receive on Monday a deputation from the Ngaio Progressive Association •with regard.to public baths at Ngaio. It was decided to write to the District Telegraph Engineer in connection with an obstructing telegraph polo in Kenya street. ■ The City Council, is to be requested to improve the condition of the bridge over the right-of-way from Kenya street to tlie railway station. . .
