PRISONERS SENTENCED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day.. Peter Colin Hume, aged 41 years, for issuing a valueless cheque for £10 at Te Aroha, aud one for £5 at Hamilton, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment to-day. The accused had previous convictions for theft at Paoroa and false pretences at Wellington. James Henry Aisher, aged 49 years, for assaulting a woman by catching her round tho waist and making an im- ' proper suggestion, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour.
