MAGISTRATE'S" COURT
Police cases in the Magistrate's Court to-day were dealt with, by Mr. T. B. M'Neil, S.M. A sentence of two months' imprisonment was imposed on Ernest Henry Leaity, aged 42, on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person in that he had insufficient lawful means of support. > "I'm going to give you an opportunity to pull yourself together," said the Magistrate to William John Cooper, a labourer, aged 18, who was appearing for sentence on charges of being an idle and duorderly person;1 failing to comply with terms of release on probation; and with unlawfully converting a bicycle to his own use. Cooper was admitted to probation for twelve months on the last charge and convicted and discharged on the others. A remand to appear at Palmerston North was granted in the case of Hubert Reginald Vernon Williams, a motor-car salesman, aged 32, who is charged with obtaining credit by fraud.
