FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs. Levin, and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents,, dated 7th February:—"Frozen meat quotations (prices on a 'delivered' basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): North Island Down lambs, 28 to 301b 11 %d per lb, 36 to 421b ll%d; best North Island crossbred lambs* 28 to 36ib ll%d, 30 to 421,b ll%d; North Island second quality lambs, average 30 to 311b, none offering; best Island wether sheep, under 481b B%d per lb, 48 to 501b 7%d, 56 to 641b 7 3-Bd, 64 to 721b 7d; North Island ewes, under 481b 6d, 43 to'SGlb 5%d, 56 to'64lb 5%d, 64 to 721b 5%d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160 to 2201b, none offering.
"As compared with last week's quotations, North Island, down lambs are l-8d per lb higher, best North Island crossbredlambs VtA per lb higher, best North Island wethers under 501b %d,per lb higher, undpr 72)b l-8d per lb higher: owes, under 481b and 50 to 041b 3-8 d per lb higher, 48 to 561b and 04 to 721b %d per lb higher. • The market-for lamb is very firm, owing to .limited supplies.
