ANTWERP EXHIBITION
BRITISH PARTICIPATION
The Prince of Wales has accepted the patronage of a .special committee, .which,' in collaboration with the "Department of Overseas Trade, will organise the British Section at the International Exhibiton at Antwerp this year. .-■■..
At the installation meeting of the'committee in London, tho president, Mr. G. M. Gilletty Minister of Overseas Trade, stated, in reference to. the. British purticipation in the Antwerp Exhibition, that" "British participation will be, above all, important from a maritime and colonial poim; of view. The plans comprise ■ a collective exhibition,, in which certain Dominions and all the British;colonies will' .participate; and -certain of these will organise individual paviifons. The Minister of Air will help in'the organisation of an aeronautic section;, and a special committee will show the progress realised in the British colonies, from the point- of view of tropical medicine. Maritime participation, which is particularly .important, is assured of the help of all members of the shipbuilding indnstry,_and of -.everybody, official or otherwise,- controlling port interests, transportation in the ports, and,, generally, of all matters pertaining to the sea. Among the colonies ■ which will oi> ganise an individual participation, the president mentioned the Gold Coast, Nigeria, the Federated and Unfederated Malay States, Uganda, Tanganyika, Kenya, and Zanzibar (the Dependencies- of His Majesty in East Africa).
