MR. ANDREW RYAN'S CAREER
British Official Wireless. RUGBY, 31st January. Mr. Andrew Ryan, whoso appointment to bo first British Minister accredited to the Kingdom of Hedjaz aaid Nejd, has been announced, has been Consul-General at Rabat, French Mioroceo, for the last six years, and previously held posts in the British Embassy at Constantinople. He was in the British delegation at the Near East Conference at Lausanne eight years ago. Ib» Saud Wababi, ruler and Sultan of. Nejd, conquered Hedjaz in 1925. He proclaimed himself Sultan of Nejd and King of Hedjaz, and in May, 1927, Great Britain recognised tho independence of his dominions by treaty.
