SEVERANCE FROM BRITAIN
(Received 3rd February, 10 a.m.) DELHI, 2nd February. ■ The Indian Episcopal Synod, meeting at Calcutta, adopted a now Constitution, canons, and rules for the Church, and passed a resolution, requesting the Government to appoint Ist March as the datp of the legal severance .of the Church of India, Burma, and Ceylon from the Church- of England. The Synod further decided to " permit churches to use the revised Prayer Book, except the controversial parts of the Communion Service.
