(By Telegraph.—Press Association!) AUCKLAND, This Day. A full round of senior cricket competition matches was played yesterday in fine weather. The overnight rain, made the wickets soft and the teams batting first were at a disadvantage, as pitches dried considerably by the afternoon. Against Grafton Ponsonby made 82 and 167 for seven wickets (Finlayson 68). All- • cott took six wickets for 26 runs. Graf--1 ton 108 (Horspool 54 not out). Fiulaysou took seven wickets for 50 runs. Grafton won on the first innings. University 255 for five wickets declared (Matheson 106, not out, Metge 83) beat 1 United Suburbs 206 (Lonergan 04, Kerr 1 41). , Parnell 279 for eight wicketa (Whitelaw ' 68, Wensley 50 not out) beat Eden 132 ' (Lawrie 45). Wensley took six wickets ■ for 66. North Shore 220 (Gerrard 65, Frater 57) ' beat V.M.C.A. 78 and 75 for eight wic- > kets. For V.M.C.A. Elliott took six ■ wickets for 44 runs.
