No complaints have been heard t<w day about the weather, and tho Do* minion as a whole is enjoying eondU tions better than any that have existed for some timo. When the wind changed last night to the south a few scattered showers were recorded, but since then. tho winds have moderated and become more variable. An anti-cyclone now covers the Dominion, aud fine weather is general. Auckland had fair weather yesterday and Wellington fin© weather except for a shower at night. Aften .. cloudy morning and four points oil rain, tho weather cleared in Christ* church yesterday afternoon. Dunedin^ howover, had heavy rain yesterday^ but it is fine there to-day as elsewhere*
'Co-day's forecast is for south-west-erly winds north of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, theso subsequently veering to tho north. Elsewhere nioderato northerly winds will later freshen, somewhat in and south of Cook Strait. Fine weather with rising temperatures mayj be expected generally at first, but cloud and. hazo will increase later, espesially in western districts south ofl Taranaki, where some rain may de-i velop.
