This colt is a close relation to King Lv and General Latour, both winners of the G.N. Guineas and other good races, and id also bred on similar lines to the Australian champion stayer Spearfelt, both being by a son of Spearmint from a mare by a son of Isinglass. LOT 40, CHESTNUT FILLY BY LEIGHTON—STAR LADY. A half-sis-ter to Star Stranger (winner of £18,000) and -Star God. The half-sister, dam, granddam, and great granddam of this filly are all Cup winners, and judging by her make and shape this filly should emulate the deeds of her illustrious ancestors. Like the great sprinter Cimabue, she is by Leighton from a Demosthenes mare.
